Construction of retail buildings wrapping up at Phase III of Tysons West

Mike Dranove Real Estate, Tysons Update

Construction seems to be finishing on the retail buildings at Cornerside Boulevard. The project is part of Phase III of Tysons West, and includes 4 single story buildings designed to house 10 retailers. According to realtors JBG Smith, Smoothie King, Jersey Mike’s, COX, and Dunkin’ Donuts will be among the stores opening at the 16-acre site currently anchored by a Wal-Mart and 24 Hour Fitness. The site is just steps away from the Sheraton Tysons Hotel, and is located close to the Spring Hill Metro.

Currently, the area suffers from traffic troubles as all visitors, residents, and employees working there can only access their destinations from a 2 lane road connected to Leesburg Pike. However, with new sidewalks finishing soon, pedestrians coming from the Metro may choose to avoid the crosswalk that lies at the entrance to the development, a reality which is the source of backups that can lead as far back as Leesburg Pike itself.

Construction on Phase III is set to finish in “spring 2019,” and, as noted in our events calendar, Tysons West will be hosting a possibly unrelated Summer Kick-Off on May 18th.
