After almost a year after announcing its expansion plans, event management platform Cvent has begun expanding its Tysons Corner headquarters with three new floors of office space, the Tysons Reporter first reported.

Founded in 1999 by CEO Reggie Aggarwal, the company makes software to manage meetings and events, as well as web surveys and email marketing.

“As a Virginia native, this is where Cvent began, and we are proud to grow our footprint here in the Tysons area,” Aggarwal said in a statement when the expansion was announced. “The convenient Boro Station location and building amenities have allowed us to attract top talent, and we look forward to supporting the vibrant Tysons tech scene for years to come.”

Situated at 1765 Greensboro Station Place in McLean, Va., the company has 19 total locations worldwide, including offices in Germany and Dubai. This expansion plan will add 72,000 square feet of office space and Cvent’s website currently lists more than 100 job openings at the Tysons Corner location in various departments including finance, tech, project management and more.

“As we expand, it’s important the new floors are constructed in a way that means we have the best environment for our growing team,” Erica Stoltenberg, a Cvent spokeswoman told the Tysons Reporter. Stoltenberg also said that the company is looking for employees with an entrepreneurial mindset who are natural go-getters and embody that startup mentality.

This announcement comes after the company acquired D.C.-based events planning software company Social Tables in October 2018. Even though Cvent is making room for new employees, Social Tables won’t be joining the Tysons Corner office but instead has still been operating as an independent business in its downtown D.C. headquarters.

When the expansion is complete, Cvent’s headquarters will span 10 floors.
