It’s official: Google will occupy Reston Station’s trapezoidal building this summer

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc announced yesterday that Google has signed the lease at its uniquely shaped 1900 Reston Metro Plaza. Google will occupy 164,000 square feet of the 16-story building, and plans to base 500 employees at the location. Employees will begin moving into the building this summer.

Comstock is no doubt elated to be closing the deal with Google, as the trapezoidal building was mostly finished over a year ago, but Comstock had been unable to find a single tenant. Now, with Google anchoring its signature location, construction beginning on an adjacent Renaissance hotel and luxury condos, as well as a recent acquisition of 408,000 square feet of real estate on the other side of 267, Comstock has disproved any doubts about its business decisions.
