Virtual MPAartfest Kicks Off with Drive-In Concert Starring the “Voices of Classic Soul”

The McLean Project for the Arts’ 14th annual MPAartfest 2020 will kick off on Sunday, October 4, 2020 with two drive-in concerts at the McLean Community Center. Starring the “Voices of Classic Soul”—a trio comprised of the lead singers from four legendary vocal groups: the Drifters, Four Tops, Platters, and Temptations—concerts will take place at 4pm and 6pm.

Virtual MPAartfest runs October 4 – 18, 2020. MPAartfest is made possible with the support of the McLean Community Center, and our partnership with the Fairfax County Park Authority.

WHAT:

MPAartfest Benefit Concert featuring the Voices of Classic Soul. The Voices of Classic Soul have been around the world and back again several times each as the lead singers of four legendary vocal groups—the Drifters, Four Tops, Platters, and Temptations. Concert attendees are treated to incredible showmanship, classic dance moves, and some of the biggest hits of all time, including “My Girl”, “The Way You Do the Things You Do”, “Get Ready”, “Only You”, “Under the Boardwalk”, “Save the Last Dance for Me”, and many more.

This year’s festival will run Sunday, October 4 through Sunday, October 18, 2020, and will feature contemporary art, special musical performances from some of the DC-area’s best musical talents, a virtual version of the much-loved New Dominion Women’s Club Children’s Art Walk, the participation of many McLean Community organizations, and daily artist studio talks with our participating artists.
