Bard’s Alley to hold day of events to mark Independent Bookstore Day

Michael Dranove Around Town, Books & Literature

Now in its 5th year, Independent Book Store Day uses the last Saturday of each April to recognize book stores across the country for the important role they play in local communities.

Vienna’s Bard’s Alley has been a community meeting place since it opened in 2017, and it is currently home to 7 book clubs, a poetry open mic night, author appearances, and a wine bar with regular drink specials.

Bard’s Alley plans to mark Independent Book Store Day with a scavenger hunt, children’s concert, drawing session, and more. A full schedule can be found on their website.
