Capital One Hall announced three additional performances from Fairfax County non-profit arts organizations as part of their partnership with ArtsFairfax and the Fairfax County Government.

Capital Wind Symphony

The Capital Wind Symphony is an all-volunteer ensemble, under the direction of George Etheridge, and is widely regarded as one of the nation’s premier wind symphonies. The concert will feature works for wind band by Camphouse, De Meij, Sousa, and Alford. Featuring soloist Erin Fleming Morgan performing Charles Griffes’ Poem for Flute.

A Russian folk orchestra of 60 musicians, performing on balalaikas and domras, will present a musical program spanning an amazing geographical area. This concert invokes the clear, soothing sounds of winter in Russia, Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
Ravel Dance Company presents The Nutcracker

The Ravel Dance Company will present the beloved holiday tradition The Nutcracker. It is Christmas Eve and the Stahlbaum family’s daughter Clara has received a Nutcracker from the mysterious toymaker and godfather Herr Drosselmeyer. Follow her journey through the Pine forest of Angels and snowflakes as the Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes her to the Kingdom of Sweets. With lavish costumes and magical dancing this production promises to be a joyous treat for ballet lovers of all ages.

Capital One Hall, part of the broader Capital One Center mixed-use development in Tysons, VA and managed by ASM Global, will open in October 2021.
