7 Weeks of Oktoberfest at Shipgarten

The Oktoberfest celebrations will go on for 7 weeks straight at Shipgarten, the Tysons multi-concept outdoor food hall comprised of four restaurants and bars each operating out of their own 40ft shipping container. Starting September 17th, the the family friendly festivities begin with the Oktoberfest Kickoff and run each Saturday until the Bier-O-Ween Festival on Saturday, October 29th.

September 17th
Oktoberfest Kickoff

Come kickoff OKTOBERFEST with the “tapping of the keg”, a special Ceremonial Keg sent from Germany! Bring along your family and friends as there will be activities for all ages!

A fantastic selection of over 50 biers from Germany, Belgium, Austria and the U.S. will be available for everyone to enjoy. Representatives from several breweries will be on hand to showcase their biers and offer samples!

September 24th
Daisy Dukes & Cowboy Boots Country Music Festival

Featuring: Scott Kurt & Memphis 59

Come on down for the Daisy Dukes and Cowboy Boots Festival! There will be 50+ beers on tap and can, music, dancing and plenty of other family fun throughout the day!

Shipgarten is excited to host Wammie award winning country artist Scott Kurt & Memphis 59, which includes Nate Taylor on guitar, Jon Jester on drums, and Chris Brooks on bass. Kurt’s skillful songwriting has powered his hit-single “American Man”, into the iTunes Top 40 Country songs. Check Kurt and his band out live on the main stage from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

October 1st
Wine, Cider and Bier Festival

Get ready for a day of apples, pies, games and excitement! Adults and children of all ages are welcome as there will be activities for all, a variety of special drinks available and contests with prizes throughout the day!

October 8th
Family Festival

Bring with your family, friends and pet(s) to the Family Festival! Children of all ages are welcome for a variety of activities going on throughout the day including “Parent & Me” contests, a Petting Zoo, Piñata Breaking and more!

October 15th
International Beer Festival

Dress up & bring your family and friends for a day of fun, culture, and competition at the International Bier Festival! Featuring 50+ beers from around the world, complemented by a variety of brewery and distillery representatives!

October 22nd
Dogtoberfest

Continue the Oktoberfest fun with your furry friends! Introducing: DOGtoberfest! Bring your family, friends, along with your pup(s) to Shipgarten for cold bier, delicious food (treats!) and events going on throughout the day for all!

October 29th
Bier-O-Ween

The annual Halloween Party for adults and children is back! Dress up with your family (and pets) in your favorite costume! There will be family friendly activities for all ages throughout the day. Don’t worry, this all day party is completely FREE!
