What started out in 1987 as a very small show has grown to become a premium arts and crafts festival. Artisans from all over the United States, including many local artists, are participating in this year’s show and we are delighted to be able to offer you so many wonderful holiday gift choices. Herndon Turkey Trot 5K Race

This cross country 5K scenic run is a pre-Thanksgiving tradition. Long-sleeve athletic shirts to first 350 registered runners. This year includes a costume contest (both individual and group categories), door prizes, top 3 M/F awards, plus a post-race Aslin beer for those over 21!

Chamber Music Series

District5 is a daring, Washington D.C.-based wind quintet that specializes in new music and new transcriptions. They are recipients of a 2016 Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Grant with composer Evis Sammoutis and have recently performed at “The REACH” at the Kennedy Center, Dumbarton Oaks, U.S. Department of State, Library of Congress, Barns at Wolf Trap, DC Kosciuszko Foundation and the Anderson House. In 2014, they gave the U.S. premiere of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s ROTARY Woodwind Quintet
