Announcing Reston Community Center’s Five Summer Concert & Entertainment Series

Reston Community Center Around Town, Art & Culture

Vibrant Summer Sounds Arrive at Halley Rise and Return to Lake Anne Plaza

Reston Community Center (RCC) is delighted to unveil its highly anticipated roster of summer concerts and entertainment for the Reston community. Dedicated to bringing people together throughout the community, RCC invites audiences to Lake Anne Plaza, Reston Town Center, Reston Station and Halley Rise for music, fun, culture and the joy of making new friends. Come enjoy some of Reston’s lovely plazas and gathering spots.

Fan favorites are returning to Lake Anne Plaza for Sunset Concerts on Wednesday evenings. Take a Break events on Thursdays this year will be presented at Halley Rise – near Wegmans. Kick off weekends with Friday evening Sip ‘n Strolls and jazz from Darden and Friends at Reston Town Square Park. Then head over to Reston Station for Summerbration cover bands that will get everyone up and grooving to songs from the Beach Boys, Taylor Swift, the 80s and more. The young and the young at heart will have a ball at Family Fun Entertainment shows in the Reston Town Square Park on Saturday mornings. Come back to the park on Sunday evenings to finish the weekend with beautiful music made by Shenandoah Conservatory musicians.

Earlier this year, the board of directors for Lake Anne’s condominium association approved a license agreement enabling Reston Community Center to bring a summer concert series back to Lake Anne Plaza for the first time since 2019. Additionally, RCC will be an annual Community Sponsor for Reston nonprofit organizations’ events held on Lake Anne Plaza and licensed to be presented there.

“Restonians enjoy beautiful music all summer long in some of the area’s most iconic plazas and park settings,” said RCC Board Chair, Beverly Cosham. “We are so pleased to provide concerts to the emerging Halley Rise neighborhood as well as to be returning to Lake Anne Plaza where we first began offering summer concerts decades ago. Bringing people together to share the sounds of summer is a cherished part of RCC’s programming.”
