Reston Museum Invites the Community to Celebrate Reston’s Living Legacy at the 20th Annual Reston Founder’s Day

Reston Museum Around Town

Reston Museum will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Founder’s Day on April 6th, 2024. The event will be held at Lake Anne Plaza from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Founder’s Day began as a celebration of Reston’s Founder Robert E. Simon Jr.’s 90th birthday. The event has continued every year since, showcasing how Reston’s community continues to live the legacy established by Simon. Annually on Founder’s Day Lake Anne Plaza is filled with the music of performers, a community clean up, book fair, and family-friendly activities.

Community organizations interested in participating as book fair vendors should contact alex.campbell@restonmuseum.org for the application. Submitting an application, and if approved, a small fee is required to have a booth. Space is limited, and priority is being given to local literacy-focused nonprofits. Local nonprofits and local food vendors will be given second priority.
