Vienna Business Association Around Town, Health & Wellness

The Vienna-Oakton community is abundant in businesses that meet the health, wellness, fitness, and social engagement needs of our local residents. On April 6, the Vienna Business Association (VBA) will showcase a cross-section of these businesses and organizations at the 2nd Annual Get Healthy Vienna! Expo 2024. This year’s theme – Connections to Wellness – is a fitting message, according to event organizers, as connecting to the resources and services that help one achieve a healthy lifestyle along with sustaining connections through social engagement are essential to achieving optimal wellness.

Get Healthy Vienna! Expo 2024 runs from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at the Vienna Community Center.

“Get Healthy Vienna! Expo 2024 is designed to help our community members understand the exceptional and accessible resources and activities that are available to individuals and families,” said VBA Health, Wellness & Fitness chair Karen Kerrigan. “The 2024 Expo will connect attendees to an array of services, solutions and opportunities that promote wellness and healthy lifestyles. The process of attaining optimal health and wellness is all about connections, education and taking positive action. Get Healthy Vienna! Expo 2024 will feature up to 50 exhibitors who will share information about the services and products that their businesses or organizations provide. This year’s Expo will feature a Kids and Families Zone, which will include children’s activities and demonstrations throughout the day. There will be a special appearance by various Superheroes, courtesy of the Vienna Singing Princesses, face-paintings, and health-related activities for kids. Moreover, an adult section will include a robust variety of health and wellness providers, and special presentations throughout the day.

Several presentations have been confirmed, including a panel of former local youth athletes who competed at the college and professional levels that will discuss the importance of a positive youth sports experience in promoting health, mental health and overall success as an adult. The panel: “The Importance of a Positive Youth Sports Experience: Lessons for Young Athletes and Their Parents” includes various former Vienna-Oakton standout athletes such as:
